School hours: 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. (extended care available beginning 7 a.m., ending 5:30 p.m.)

Miss Samantha Rose

Music, Band & Piano
Samantha M. Rose is a 2001 graduate of Walther Lutheran High School. She graduated from Wartburg College with a Bachelor's in Music Education in 2005, majoring in French horn with an emphasis in horn performance and minoring in voice. In 2014, Miss Rose completed her Master’s degree in Theatre Education at the University of Northern Colorado. The 2025-2026 academic year marks Miss Rose’s 21st year teaching for Walther where she serves as Fine Arts Department Chair, and the coordinator for the Instrumental Program for area Lutheran grade schools. In addition to teaching band, piano, and general music in both the high school and grade schools, her duties at Walther include leading Monday Night Band and serving as director and producer for the theatre department. She also performs freelance on French horn and trumpet, has worked as a guest teaching artist for theatre in various locales, and is the Music Minister at Zion Lutheran Church in Hinsdale, Illinois.
